Some unexpected news came from Netflix this morning. They announced that they will be splitting of Netflix into two different companies. Netflix will remain by online streaming and ‘Qwikster’ will now be the one to mail the movies. Qwikster will be adding game rentals for an extra fee.

In my case, I will be keeping my Netflix plan and might get Qwikster only if the prices for gaming rentals aren’t sky high. Many people aren’t liking this at all but i understand where the founders are coming from. It looks like Netflix just really wants to focus on streaming since year after year physical media is dieing out. Even Apple has been pushing for streaming and online media only these past couple of years. What are your reactions to Netflix’s move? Check out the announcement video below.
