Beats Actually Nailed It! Beats 360 Unboxing & Impressions

Today I’m taking a look at the new Beats 360, Beats’ top-of-the-line over-ear headphones at $350. In this unboxing and impressions I go through everything in the box, compare them to the AirPods Max, swap the removable ear cups and headbands, and then share how they held up after a few days as my primary headphones, including a six-mile run.

My Honest Take: Beats really nailed the fit and the features here. They’re noticeably lighter and daintier than the chunky AirPods Max, almost like ear muffs, and the magnetic carrying bag is so much better than the AirPods Max case (the Max even fits inside it). The ear cups twist off and the headband pops off, so you can mix and match the Ultra Plush leather-style cushions or the knit ones in colors like lime green, and I ran six miles in the lime knit cups with sunglasses on without any clamping or pain, then just dried them by a fan and swapped in clean cups. You also get IPX4 sweat and water resistance, 32 hours of battery, USB-C, easy pairing on iPhone or Android, and noise cancellation that wiped out wind noise with my car window down while still feeling natural. The trade-offs: sound quality is good but not top tier, since busy, bass-heavy tracks got a little muddled compared to the AirPods Max or even AirPods Pro, they don’t auto-pause when you take them off, and the leather-style cups get hot here in Texas, so I prefer the breathable mesh. My favorite part is that you can actually turn them off, unlike the AirPods Max, which always seem to be dead when I need them.

Watch the full Beats 360 unboxing to see the ear cup and headband swaps, the AirPods Max comparison, and how they held up on my run. Final thoughts: if you want the absolute best audio quality, go AirPods Max or elsewhere, but as an all-around pair for the gym, running, and everyday listening, I highly recommend the Beats 360 over the AirPods Max, especially since they’re cheaper. Beats sent these over, but they didn’t pay for the video or influence anything I said.
