Glacier iPhone 18 Pro Unboxing & Impressions!
Glacier is the new blue on the iPhone 18 Pro, and it’s my personal phone this year — a soft matte baby blue with slight purple undertones that feels way more wearable than last year’s near-black Pro blue. In person it reads calmer than Sierra Blue ever did, with a true color-matched aluminum finish instead of the weird white backs Apple shipped on some Pros last year. I unboxed the 512 GB Glacier Pro, lined it up next to silver and brighter blues on the desk, and shared honest first impressions before locking in whether this is the Pro color to order. First impressions: Glacier looks fantastic in hand — a tasteful light blue that isn’t neon and isn’t silver-with-a-hint pretending otherwise, though next to a true saturated blue it can read more silver-blue than laundry-detergent pop. I wish Pro colors went brighter more often (last year’s Cosmic Orange was the rare loud one), but this matte finish with purple undertones when you tilt it is the right kind of subtle, and the color-matched back and rails finally feel finished the way Pros should. In the box you only get a braided USB-C to USB-C cable — no paperwork this year — and with the front film off the blue-tinted bezels look clean against a black screen without going shiny or distracting. I went Glacier after a full year on silver because it was time for a change; a clear MagSafe case shows the blue off beautifully without adding bulk, and if you’re torn between Glacier and silver, Glacier is the calm ocean/sky pick while silver stays the stark engineering default.
