Silver on the iPhone 18 Pro is the finish Apple should have shipped last year — a real color-matched silver back instead of the white rear panel I hated on my 17 Pro. From the front the 18 Pro is basically identical to last year until you notice the smaller Dynamic Island pill, which makes the older phone look dated, frees space for up to three Live Activities, and helps when you’re gaming. Battery is a real upgrade — the regular Pro now roughly matches last year’s Max — plus faster wired charging (about 50% in 15 minutes) and up to 2 TB on the smaller model; I still prefer the regular Pro for pocketability. A clear MagSafe case on this year’s silver looks especially good if you want people to know it’s the 18, not the white-back 17.
