ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI vs Dreame L40s Ultra: Best Prime Day Robot Vacuum?

ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI vs Dreame L40s Ultra: Best Prime Day Robot Vacuum?

If you’re shopping for a high-end robot vacuum and mop right now, you’ve almost certainly run into ECOVACS and Dreame. So I put the brand-new ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI head-to-head with the Dreame L40s Ultra — a spec-sheet monster a lot of people treat as the standard premium flagship — to see where the real trade-offs are and which one actually respects your hard-earned cash. They sit in a very similar price bracket, with the T90 PRO just a little more expensive. (ECOVACS sponsored this one, but I kept the comparison fair.)

On raw suction it’s close to a mismatch: the Dreame puts out a respectable 19,000Pa, while the T90 PRO hits 30,000Pa — nearly double — which matters when you’re pulling deep-set sand or pet hair out of a thicker rug. ECOVACS’ ZeroTangle 4.0 uses a straight-through duct to pull hair into the bin before it can wrap, while the Dreame can still need some roller cleanup with a shedding cat and dog like mine. Mopping is the biggest decision: the Dreame’s dual spinning pads are fine for a light daily refresh, but on sticky kitchen spills they get saturated and start smearing, while the T90 PRO’s OZMO Roller 3.0 — a 27 cm microfiber roller spinning at 200 RPM that gets sprayed with fresh water and scraped clean as it goes, with about 10 N of downward force — is actually scrubbing instead of just wiping. TruEdge 3.0 pushes the roller up to 1.5 cm past the chassis for tighter baseboards with no little gaps in the corners, and on rugs the roller lifts 15 mm versus 10.5 mm for the Dreame’s pads. For navigation, the T90 PRO’s mini TOF lidar with AI 3D structured light maps rooms fast and spots objects down to 2.4 cm like stray toys and cables, but the Dreame clears taller thresholds at 4 cm. Both work with Alexa and Google Assistant and have 75°C hot-water mop washing with hot-air drying; the Dreame has bigger (heavier) tanks and a 6,400 mAh battery versus 5,200 mAh, yet both land around 200 minutes of runtime, and the ECOVACS GaN power-boost charging adds about 10% in 3 minutes during mop-wash breaks. The T90 PRO also has its own built-in YIKO voice assistant and two-way video calling so you can drive it around and check on your pets — you don’t get that on the Dreame.

Watch the full ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI vs Dreame L40s Ultra comparison for side-by-side suction, mopping, edge cleaning, carpet lift, obstacle avoidance, app, and base station footage. Final thoughts: both are fantastic automated machines priced pretty closely, but if mopping matters in your home, the T90 PRO’s extra suction, self-washing roller, 15 mm carpet lift, and voice and video features make it worth the small premium — if you mainly need clearance over taller thresholds or don’t care much about mopping, the Dreame still makes sense.
