Space Black on the iPhone Air is as stealthy as the name promises — deep, matte, and way less flashy than the louder colors in this lineup. Purple is back on the standard iPhone 17, and Lavender feels softer and more wearable than the loud purples Apple has tried before. In person it’s a muted pastel that photographs differently depending on the light — which is why I wanted a full unboxing before locking in an opinion.
Cosmic Orange on the iPhone 17 Pro is bold in a way Apple doesn’t usually ship — and in person it might be too much for some people. On camera it reads warmer and more metallic than the product page, which is exactly why I wanted a full unboxing before calling it.
